Position Summary
Successful candidates will become part of an effective development team using an agile development methodology and Microsoft and IBM technologies including Visual Studio 2008 Team Server, .NET 3.5 and ASP.NET 2.0. using C#, IIS, SQL Server and Oracle data bases. Coreworx is a service-oriented enterprise application built on a layered architecture with robust security, auditing, logging, scalability and flexibility requirements.

This position will also require that the candidate work with the Professional Services Group as required. The Professional Services group is responsible for customizing, configuring and deploying the software at customer sites.  

Roles and Responsibilities

• Help to foster a productive and rewarding team environment, have mutual respect for team members and be open to exploring ideas raised from any members.
• Assisting in the low level design of product features
• Following, and helping to define and evolve, the development processes and guidelines to be used by the team
• Learning the technologies chosen by the team for the product, and becoming proficient in them
• Assisting in the QA process of the product
• Striving for excellence in the definition, implementation, documentation and testing of the software product

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• University degree, college diploma or equivalent training in Computer Science or Engineering
• Successful candidates must have experience in an object-oriented language (C#, C++ or Java)
• Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript),
• Strong communication skills,
• Eager to be part of a small, highly-skilled team
• Additional skills in IIS, ASP.NET, ActiveX controls, SQL, SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle RDBMS, installation scripts, build and test automation tools, or document management would be beneficial.
