Session Abstract:
It is a long acknowledged problem that large, complex, modular-based projects struggle to achieve on-time, on-budget project performance.  This is largely due to interface dependencies.  Establishing an interface management program is recognized as a proven strategy to mitigate cost and schedule risk.  However, the available technologies are inadequate to support professionals tasked with facilitating rapid collaboration and management of thousands of interface agreements resulting from technical complexities, compressed design-build time cycles, and subtle issues such as environmental and regulatory nuances.

This session addresses how collaborative work process technology empowers interface management professionals in the early identification, prioritization, and proactive resolution of conflicts throughout the entire project lifecycle.
