What our clients are saying ...
"We looked at other approaches to the problem of accessing timely, accurate cost control information but found nothing else as fast, user-friendly, and valuable as the Oncore service. I will happily talk to anyone who'd like to know more about saving not only admin costs but the far bigger savings and value-creation that come from contractor invoice control AND project decision-making. Oncore has the capability to make everyone look better, right from the contractor to the turnaround manager, the plant manager, regional VP and HQ: during a project, any question about job status can be answered immediately and accurately. We believe control over our jobs has become tight enough to allow us to provide the information for contractors to use to bill us at the end of every week. This works in favor of both us and the contractor in terms of the accuracy and early finalization of project information for us and faster payment to the contractors."

Kim Hubick, Vice President Finance and Business Services, Central Alberta Midstream

According to Hubick, the past four turnarounds came in over budget. CAM lacked the accurate and timely cost tracking they needed to make good decisions during the job or to support future process improvement. He admits that past tracking systems were often "sporadic and ineffective," depending on information collected on spreadsheets (not uncommon in the industry). He liked the easy web access, single point data collection and real time information flow offered by Oncore. The KA project ended up close to $1.5 million under budget. Hubick credits at least a portion of this saving to the timely information the system provided. He notes, "What sets it apart is the independence and objectiveness of the data repository and the associated wide reporting distribution capability." He points to the availability of the data for future analysis and manipulation as a major advantage of the system. "We don't have that now [for completed projects]. It's sitting in boxes somewhere." Hubick has recommended the system to several big players in the US, including BP.
